We bought this boar from Hirshfields at the 2009 SWTC. Recoil is a littermate to Trigger at A Cut Above Sires who had a great year in 2010 producing the reserve Champion Spot barrows at Fort Worth, San Antonio, NWSS, and Arizona national and the Champion Spot at the Star of Texas along with Reserve gilts at houston and OYE. They are out of the successful boar Fully Loaded (producing the Champion spot barrow at Houston and Champion gilt at San Antonio in 2010) and the $6,000 Armstrong Hog College gilt. He is moderate framed, big boned, wide and complete yet extremly balanced. He is wide tracking on both ends and square from his blades to the ground.
